Sonic wins. He's faster, has four super forms Super, Hyper, Dark-spine and Exaclbuair Sonic, he can destroy robots by cutting through their metallic hide and splitting them into half before they explode. So Mario's Metal form would be useless against Sonic's spin attack. Sonic would just rip him apart.
